1. Plan ahead
Confirm your move in date as early as possible so you can make arrangements with your removals company in advance. Try not to leave everything to the last minute so you can still try to enjoy the festivities whilst planning your move. 2. Prepare for adverse weather.
We live in Wales, so we expect the unexpected when it comes to the weather. Be prepared with salt for driveways and paths in case there is snow. At TVC Removals we can provide waterproof covers for expensive and sentimental items to reduce the risk of damage. Also, pack a bag or box of blankets, hot water bottles, a kettle and even an electric heater, just in case you come in to some issues with the boiler when you move in
3. Bills, bills, bills.
Make sure you update your utilities supplier of your move and provide them with your move in date. You do not want Christmas without gas or electricity
4. Tell friends and family.
Inform friends and family of your new address, especially if you’re expecting to receive Christmas cards and gifts through the post
5. Give the gift of information to the new owners of your home.
Leave a note, or even a Christmas card with details of bin collection, recycling, and how to work the boiler. I am sure the new owners would appreciate the help!
